Boulders Suspended by Rain; Clinch Playoffs with NJ Loss

Wednesday's game between the Rockland Boulders and Trois-Rivieres Aigles was suspended due to rain with the score 0-0 in the top of the second inning. The game will resume at 4:00 pm Thursday with two out and the bases loaded and will be followed by the regularly-scheduled contest.

Despite the suspension, the Boulders clinched their fifth straight appearance in the post-season after the New Jersey Jackals' 10-2 loss to the Sussex County Miners, who have already secured the top playoff seed. Rockland currently remains in third place, two games ahead of Trois-Rivieres and 4.5 behind the second-place Quebec Capitales.

After tomorrow's pair in T-R, the Boulders wrap up the regular season with four road games against the Ottawa Champions. Best-of-five first round playoff action begins on Wedesday, September 5, with pairings and locations still to be determined. Rockland has played in the League Championship series in three of the previous four years, capturing the crown in 2014.
